What have you been up to this summer? With the recession in full swing, many have chosen to spend their R&R closer to home. I kind of like the idea of teaching our children and grandchildren that fun can be found
anywhere, and doesn't have to cost a fortune. Maybe it's a throwback to my own childhood summers, when we'd find things to do out in the country, and didn't need travel agents or a bulging bank account to have fun. Picnics and camping were the norm.
Etsy is filled with seashore themes and I had fun collecting these six to share. I love their mood they convey, and the reminder that the fun of a vacation isn't the amount we spend or the distance traveled. It's being with the ones we love, and making memories together.
