FRIDAY SHOWCASE: Colorful Gifts of Art

Surf & Shore by bbrunophotography

So, how was your week? Did you accomplish all you set out to do? Learn anything new and exciting?

Every Monday I start out with great anticipation, like a child with a brand-new notebook or set of paints. By the time Friday morning rolls around, I'm longing for just one more day. I used to think that was a sign of restlessness but I now realize that it actually springs from a satisfaction with the challenge of creating. It's an itch that can't be scratched completely.  Seems there's never enough time to do all I'd like to do, and I've come to terms with that. I imagine I'll feel the same even if God chooses to extend my life to ninety years or beyond.

Life's a gift and as Danny Kay once quipped, it's also "a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint you can on it.” Today I'm showcasing the work of six who do exactly that through their art. I believe you'll find plenty to appreciate about each of these colorful pieces. Enjoy!

Blessings!
