Art makes me happy. It's an emotional reaction I can't quite explain, and usually takes me by surprise. I don't know if it's the colors, the textures, or the beautiful use of light, but certain paintings and photographs strike me in a way that grabs my attention long past that first glance.
I stare...tilt my head and study the details...and come away wishing I had been the one behind the brush or lens. That's art--an investment of ourselves that has the power to stir the emotions of another human being.
